With summer just around the corner, there's plenty of action packed sports events and new series on TV to watch. In the summer season there’s plenty of time to relax and watch TV on your iBeani whilst catching a spot of sunshine. Starting off on Monday 27th June with the men's and ladies first round singles Wimbledon is sure to be an exciting event this year. With last years men’s singles winner Novak Djokovic taking home the £1.89 million prize, a lot of money is up for grabs at this world wide famous sporting event. One of the major grand slam events on the tennis calendar, Brits will be cheering on Andy Murray from the Murray mount (or Henman hill). The ladies singles finals take place on Saturday 9th July while the men's finals take place on Sunday 10th July. Be sure to watch these as they’re literally filled with hours of nail biting excitement.
UEFA Euro 2016
Kicking off on 10th June with France v Romania is the UEFA EURO 2016. This footballing event, like the World Cup, only comes around once every 4 years. This time EURO 2016 will be held in France with Spain defending their title from the last 2 events. The finals are set to take place on 10th July with Spain hoping to add a 3rd consecutive win to their streak. If you’re a big fan of football then you won’t want to miss these top international teams competing with each other.
With the news of the former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson and co-stars leaving the show over 18 months ago the BBC has been busy making the new series. The new Top Gear will feature a completely new cast and format compared to the previous series. Featuring stars such as Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans, the popular TV program watched by millions worldwide will be looking to take it prime slot back. The new series returned to BBC Two on 29th May and is hoping to impress fans with some fresh new changes.
Orange is the New Black Season 4
A hugely popular Netflix series that gained plenty of fans from its season 1 premier is returning to Netflix this summer. The American comedy-drama series is based in a minimum-security federal prison and follows the daily life of inmates. But you probably already knew that from watching the other 3 seasons. Orange is the new black returns to Netflix on 17th June and is rumoured to be full of surprises from guest stars. Be sure you don’t miss this new season on Netflix as it will definitely be the talk of the office.
Marco Polo Season 2
Originally premiered on 12th December 2014, fans have been kept waiting for season 2 of this Netflix original. The show is currently one of the most expensive programmes produced with season 1 costing approximately $90 million, this epic medieval series is sure to give viewers what they want. Based on the early years of Marco Polo in the court of Kublai Khan, fans have compared the show to popular Game of Thrones. Season 2 of Marco Polo premieres on 1st July, with Netflix being still the only place to watch it.
